Sue Gibson trained as a gardener with the National Trust at Nymans Gardens in West Sussex. Here she acquired a wealth of experience in all aspects of garden maintenance, gaining practical know-how that can be applied equally well to a private garden as to a large parkland garden open to the public.
Plant propagation became a speciality when Sue worked at a general nursery in Gloucestershire and later she worked in her own Low Maintenance Gardening business. A 2-year HNC course in Garden Design and Maintenance at Pershore College of Horticulture, followed by a teaching course, developed into her own Garden Design and Consultancy business.

Sue also taught horticulture and garden design at three horticultural colleges: Lackham College in Wiltshire, Cannington College at Bristol Zoo Gardens, and Hartpury College in Gloucester.
Passionate about spreading the gardening word, she now teaches privately from home and runs a garden consultancy service. She has appeared on Gardeners Question Time on local radio and on The One Show on BBC 1.
